Vaccination Clinic
**Since the first Sunday in April (April 5) is Easter Sunday, we are postponing our regular shot clinic for one week, to April 12.**
Our April 12 vaccination clinic runs from 10:00am until 1:30pm at our clinic at 8210 D’Arcy Road. We are requiring appointments. When all the appointment slots have been filled, we will open up a waitlist.
PLEASE NOTE: If your pet only needs a distemper shot, you can sign up for our distemper only clinic, on Saturday, March 28, here – pgspca.org/booster. We do not offer rabies or microchips at this clinic, but if all you need is distemper, it is a much faster process!
We are offering the following services at our Sunday clinic:
Rabies $20
If you are requesting a rabies shot for your pet, and you have proof of prior rabies vaccination, be sure to bring the paperwork documenting that earlier shot for a vaccination good for 3 years. Otherwise, this shot will be valid for one year.
Distemper $20
Distemper is a series of shots, given 3-4 weeks apart. The first time your pet gets a distemper shot, it must be boosted in one month for full immunity. Young puppies and kittens need a monthly booster until they are 4 months old. Once the series is complete, the animal then requires just an annual booster.
Microchip $35
A microchip is a small, electronic chip enclosed in a glass cylinder that is about the same size as a grain of rice. It contains a unique identification number that, when scanned, reveals the pet owner’s contact information stored in a microchip registry database. This helps reunite lost or found pets with their owners.
