Just a few hours of your time each month can make a world of difference to homeless, abused, or neglected animals.
We are looking for volunteers to help with our monthly low-cost vaccination clinics, Saturday adoption shows, special events, educational programs, and administrative work behind the scenes. Come to a volunteer orientation to find out how we can match your skills and interests to our program needs.
We hold a formal orientation for new volunteers on the fourth Saturday of each month, 12:30pm at PetSmart in Bowie. Orientations are held in conjunction with our adoption show, so please check our calendar to confirm the schedule. The session runs about 30 minutes. We have a wide variety of activities underway, and we need volunteer support for all of them. And we’re happy to accept any special skill (accounting, legal expertise, dog training, advertising) you’d like to offer!
If you’d like to attend an orientation, please submit a volunteer application and complete the online RSVP form. If you’d like more information, you can call us on (301) 262-5625, but sending us an email is best.
We currently have no programs or projects for youth participation. If you are under age 18, you may want to contact the Prince George’s County Animal Management Division (not affiliated with us). For more information about them, see www.princegeorgespets4us.com.
If your question regarding volunteering has not been answered here, you should plan on talking with us at the next show or volunteer orientation (see above). If you need to contact us now, you can send us an email or call (301) 262-5625 and choose option 2 (to leave a message for the volunteer coordinator).
