About Me
Nora was adopted November 2021!
My name is Sweetie Nora, and I came to the SPCA because my family was evicted from our home. I was very sad to leave my family and my dog brother, but I am getting used to my foster family. I am a quiet puppy dog that doesn’t like steps. I am afraid or maybe I just am not familiar with walking up and down. My foster family has 5 cats that I would like to smell but these cats stay away from me. When I walk with my foster family, I meet lots of dogs and I behave. My foster family has a fenced backyard and I like to spend time outside on the patio by the pool. I understand the pool and I don’t go near the edge. It is good that the yard is fenced because I have escaped twice, and my foster family must come looking for me. They now remember to close the gate behind them!
I am calm and spend time alone in the yard. I don’t bark unless something changes like a loud truck or another dog comes along the fence. I am happy to sit on the patio chair and watch what is going on. I love to sit with my foster family and watch TV. At bedtime I am not happy to be crated; I much prefer to sleep in bed with my foster Mother.
I am not a big eater, but I do love treats. House training seems to be a new idea for me. My foster family works with me daily and I am encouraged to be outside as soon as I eat.
I need a forever family that would like a calm, quiet dog that isn’t too active. I am happy to take a daily walk or two, but I need a nap when we return. I nap away from everyone, sometimes in a bathroom or closet. Remember steps are an issue for me so I need to be carried up and down.
