Doughnut

I must warn you that once you pet me, you will never want to stop! And that’s ok because I adorrre being pet and brushed! My foster hoomans say that I am the softest, silkiest cat they’ve ever met and that means a lot since they’ve met a LOT of kitties!

I am a very affectionate, gentle, super-soft kitty that loves pets and scritches on my head, and I never met a toy I didn’t like! My favorite toys are little fuzzy mice and fuzzy toys on sticks and once I’ve caught them, I will proudly carry them around the room just to show off! I’ll always stay close by wherever you are and show you lots of love!

Likes: Pets and brushes to the top/sides of my head, tall scratching posts, and laying down right next to you or with my foster siblings

Dislikes: Being bored – I love having a variety of toys to play with!

Favorite Toy: Furry little mouse toys and toys on strings

Favorite Napping Spot: Wherever you are, or in any cat house or bed

Best features: My foster hoomans love my super-affectionate disposition, my fluffy tail, and the silly tucks/rolls I do when being pet or brushed!

I have so much fun playing with the other foster kitties and would love to have other cat siblings!

Bohdana (Courtesy post)

Boh was a pandemic puppy, born in October 2020, that we bought that December from a private breeder in Pennsylvania.  She is now almost 4 years old and medium build at about 51 pounds in size.  Her full name is “Bohdana”, a Slavic name meaning “God given” because Boh came into our family at just the right time to help my teenage daughter through the pandemic loneliness.

Boh is an “only-dog” in that we had no other dogs but her, and she was never really around other dogs. We had cats that Boh accepted and never had problems.  Boh always thinks that visitors (kids and adults) are there to see her! So she is a bit spoiled and will jump to people just to say “hi” and be hugged and petted.  She’s never had problems meeting new people, including kids. She loves to play fetch with people, especially new people!

Because Boh grew up in a big house with a big fenced-in yard (but with no neighbors close by), she tends to be afraid of loud noises, like thunderstorms, fireworks, even the sound of vacuum cleaners. And she’s wary of new dogs, timid before moving on to something else that interests her.  Generally, Boh has slowly accepted some of the neighborhood dogs when I control the meeting process.

A change in our family status, a move to a townhouse and a job that has me traveling frequently means that Boh is now alone for longer periods of time, with no large backyard to run in. She’s more isolated than before and I can see her separation anxiety growing. I can’t give her the life that she deserves, so I’m hoping to find her a nice family who can play with her, give her a large space to run like she used to in my old house, and give her the attention she once had.

Suki (Courtesy post)

Suki loves to cuddle up near her human all day if allowed, getting all the attention she can get.  She enjoys going on my deck to lay in the sun. She can be very destructive when left alone, however.  She barks and pulls when she sees other dogs walking with their owner but gets along with some dogs when she’s at the pet sitter’s house. She also doesn’t care for strangers to run past us while walking.  It took two to two-and-a-half months for her to co-exist with our cat.  She does sometime chase the cat and the cat sometimes will paw her on the head or butt, but she doesn’t try to attack the cat.  She loves digging in trash to find leftovers and will eat food while on walks if not careful. She feels threatened near tools, especially lawn mowers, drills or anything she feels is dangerous.

Overall, she’s a loving dog but due to declining health issues, I’m unable to give her the attention she deserves and needs.  As a result, I’d like to find her a loving home with someone who can give her lots of attention.

Polly

Meet Polly; she’s from Bali! (Well, maybe. She’s from somewhere in Indonesia!) Polly was rescued from an Indonesian meat market and as you can see, she’s been settling in well to her new life in the USA.

Polly is a sweet, curious, and independent girl who loves walks, hikes and playing with toys. She is a fan of puzzle toys, tug-of-war, and we’re working on learning fetch! Polly is mellow overall, but she still gets the zoomies sometimes and needs a chance to burn off some energy each day. She would be a great companion for someone who is active or at least likes walking and playing engaging games with her, but she also spends a good portion of the day snoozing and quietly entertaining herself. Polly has a goofy side, too, and will jump around and “sing” from time to time!

Polly is reserved around people and dogs she does not know and takes a little while to warm up, but once she knows you, she is very sweet and loves to hang out with you and follow you around the house. She’s not the best dog for accompanying you to places crowded with other people, children, and dogs, but her active and curious nature would make her a great companion for more peaceful outings. Polly isn’t exactly a cuddle queen (yet), but she likes to sit next to her humans on the couch or curl up
at their feet on the floor. She has become more affectionate with her foster family with each passing day! Polly seems house trained. She gets along well most of the time with her canine housemates, but we recommend a meet-and-greet with any other potential household dogs.

If you want a friend to keep you company and explore the world with, come meet Polly!

Copper

Copper is all about spreading joy! He is a playful, 2-year old with a curious nature and friendly personality. While fetch might not be his thing, Copper makes up for it with his personality. He loves to play and run around, but also loves hanging out and napping with his favorite human.
He gets along with the other small dogs in his foster home and enjoys a game of chase. He can be shy meeting new people, but give him a minute and he will be your best friend. He is an  unknown around kids, but due to his petite size (10lbs), he would be best with kids over 10 years. He’s a pro on the leash, making walks a delightful adventure.
Copper’s enthusiasm knows no bounds! Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to welcome Copper into your home and experience the joy of having a furry friend by your side!

Harper

I am a young cat with lots of energy, but I also know how to chill. In the morning, I get the zoomies and like to run and play. I love to chase ribbon toys and I even know how to fetch. I also really enjoy treat puzzles and hunting for hidden treats around the house.

The afternoon is my siesta time when I snooze in my favorite spots. I always know just when it is mealtime – the most exciting time of day! At night I am quiet and won’t wake you up.

I am gentle and will let you trim my claws and pick me up. I do like to explore all the nooks and crannies of the house but most of the time I try to stay out of trouble. I am not much of a lap cat, but sometimes I like to snuggle up next to my person and make biscuits. I am not picky, and I like all kinds of food.

Hobbies: Bug hunting! I am a fierce hunter and will catch any fly or bug. I also like to watch the birds and bugs outside the window.
Favorite Toy: I love to leap and chase after the wiggling ribbon at the end of the wand, and chew on crinkle balls and carry them around the house.
Favorite Napping Spot: I have my own pop-up cube that I nap in during the day

HOW I CAME TO THE PGSPCA
I was adopted out from the PGSPCA as a kitten but came back again when my favorite person had to move somewhere that was not good for kitties.

DREAM FAMILY
I am a bit shy and need some time to get comfortable with new people and places. I am easily startled and would like a family that isn’t too loud and will give me a chance to learn about my new home.

Wink. I’m adopted!

Wink was adopted August 2024!

I’m a very affectionate, gentle kitty.  I love to cuddle with people and get love and attention.  I’ll even make biscuits on your lap.

Hobbies: playing with my brother & other kitties, getting love and snuggles from people, professional blanket biscuit maker
Favorite Toys: catnip toys, ping pong balls, my brother, stick/wand toys
Favorite Napping Spot: with my brother, on soft blankets or cat beds, next to you or on your lap

HOW I CAME TO THE PGSPCA
A nice woman found me and my brother in her yard and our mom never came back.

DREAM FAMILY
My brother Blink and I are very bonded so we’d like to stay living together furever.  We’d love a home with people that will give us lots of love and snuggles and playtime. Foster meowmy says I was built for snuggles and relaxing when I’m not being silly with my brother.

Pippin

PERSONALITY
If you’re looking for a kitty who will immediately love you and purr up a storm, I’m your guy! My foster mom says I’m one of the most affectionate kitties she’s met and she loves how sweet and loving I am. Plus have you seen how cute my little face is? No one can resist my snuggles!

Merry

PERSONALITY
I’m cool, calm, and collected and I love being held and pet and kissed! I love it so much that I don’t want you doing anything else – pay attention to me! I’m an affectionate little love bug, though I may take a little while to get used to you because I’m not as brave as my brother, Pippin.

Favorite Toy: I like toys that make noise, but I’m not super picky about them!
Favorite Napping Spot: I love sleeping on a warm laptop keyboard – you weren’t doing anything important on there, right?
