Josey was adopted January 2022!
PERSONALITY
I’m delightful, quirky, independent, and confident. Food is a great motivator for me, possibly stemming from a lack of it while living on the streets. My confidence level is high; I love to greet strangers.
When so inclined, I wrap myself around my human’s legs and hold on. I haven’t displayed a cuddly side as yet, but that might change with time.
Favorite Toy: Absolutely adore my scratching post — I wrap myself around it; it’s probably my favorite place.
Favorite Napping Spot: Another favorite place is in the hammock attached to my scratching post.
HOW I CAME TO THE PGSPCA
I was found wandering the streets, sick and underweight. A good-hearted woman alerted PGSPCA of my suffering and it’s a good thing she did! I was severely anemic, very dehydrated, and had alarmingly low blood pressure. After an emergency trip to the vet in the middle of the night, PGSPCA raised enough money for a blood transfusion and I recovered well. Now I’m ready for a home of my own.
DREAM FAMILY
I would be perfectly happy being an only cat. With careful supervision, I will adjust to other cats and dogs. My perfect family would appreciate my independence.

Ella may have been born in South Carolina, but she was made for the Chesapeake. This tiny, one-year-old chocolate doodle is happiest anywhere there’s water, whether she’s paddle boarding, soaking up the sun, or taking a dip in the pool.
She is an absolute dream with the sweetest, most gentle personality. Ella loves dogs, cats, kids, and every grown-up she meets. She’s fully house- and crate-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and is the kind of easygoing companion who fits right into any adventure.

Meet Franklin, better known as Frankie—a small, fluffy Shih Tzu mix who’s ready to be your favorite little sidekick. This hypoallergenic gentleman is house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has been an absolute dream for his foster family. Frankie is friendly, playful, snuggly, and a wonderful little listener. While he loves everyone, he can be a bit cantankerous with men at first and simply needs a little extra patience while he gets to know them.

Kolby
Kolby is a young, sweet, and loving boy who is ready to find his forever family! This handsome pup has so much love to give and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets—including dogs, cats, and kids.
Kolby absolutely adores his foster mom and has been thriving in his foster home. He does great on walks, is doing wonderfully with his in-home training, and is eager to please. After a fun play session with his favorite toys, Kolby’s favorite thing to do is curl up for snuggles with his foster mom and his foster dog and cat siblings. ? He is truly such a special boy, and we know the perfect family is out there waiting to treasure this little gem the way we do.

Sadie
Sadie is a gorgeous little blonde with the most beautiful green eyes—and a personality to match! She is as snuggly and affectionate as they come, while still being a happy, playful puppy who loves to have a little fun!
Sadie loves everyone she meets—dogs, kids, cats, and pretty much anyone lucky enough to cross her path. She’s doing amazingly in her foster home and showing everyone just what a wonderful little pup she is. Now, she’s ready to find the forever family she deserves.

Estrella
Meet this gorgeous, tiny husky-mix girl who’s as sweet as she is stunning! With her striking looks, affectionate personality, and photogenic smile, she’s sure to steal hearts wherever she goes. She loves being around her people, whether she’s exploring the yard, lounging on the couch, or curling up beside you for a nap. With a perfect medium energy level, she’s always up for an adventure but is just as happy relaxing after some outdoor fun.
She’s 100% house-trained, walks beautifully on a harness, knows “sit,” enjoys being brushed, and absolutely lives for belly rubs, ear scratches, and face kisses. Once she’s settled in, she does wonderfully in her crate and has excellent house manners. She’s also treat-motivated, eager to learn, and gets along well with respectful dogs that appreciate personal space.

Redz is wonderful on leash, enjoys car rides, loves the water, gets along beautifully with other dogs, takes treats as gently as can be and has been an absolute dream for his foster mom. He’s also very easy to train and knows sit, stay, down and shake. He’s the kind of companion who happily trots along by your side and makes every day a little brighter.

At just 10 months old, Esquire is the total package. This handsome pup walks beautifully on a leash, is crate and house trained, rides like a champ in the car, and is ready to find the family he’s been waiting for. His foster mom calls him Skippy because he’s the color of peanut butter!
Esquire loves everyone he meets, especially other dogs and kids, and he does well with cats, too. He’s always happy to wrestle with his foster brother or toss around his favorite toys, but at the end of the day, he’s all about the snuggles. Whether he’s curled up with a stuffed toy in his bed, spooning with his canine best friend, or convinced he’s a lap dog on his foster mom’s couch, Esquire is happiest when he’s close to the ones he loves. As you can tell from his pictures, he also has a favorite “stretch-it-out” sleeping position that cracks us up!

Some dogs are good with cats. Some are good with dogs. Some are good with kids. Benny is good with all three—which is why we think he’s the trifecta of perfection.
Benny is a happy, social boy who loves everyone he meets and would love to be part of an adventurous, loving family. He’s also very treat-motivated, making him eager to learn and easy to train. Although he’s already fully house-trained, we’re sure he would love to learn some new tricks to help entertain at your dinner parties.

I’m a very sweet kitty who likes head scritches. I often seek out my foster mom for affection. I’m independent, though, and love to play with toys and hang out watching birds and squirrels. I’m generally a quiet kitty who loves to be near my favorite person.
Hobbies: I love to play with toys that move, including wands and battery-powered toys.
HOW I CAME TO THE PGSPCA
My siblings and I were living outdoors and being fed by a nice neighbor who contacted PGSPCA because she thought I was such a sweet kitty who would thrive in a home.
DREAM FAMILY
I am looking for a home where I will be spoiled rotten. I’m usually a quiet, but independent cat, and I would like a home where I can bond with one or two adults who would allow me time to get comfortable and acclimated to a new home. I’m treat and food motivated, so that is the way to my heart. I may need a hiding space or two to help me adjust to my new home, but I won’t need them for long.
