Hi, I'm Lola. I’m adopted!

Lola was adopted February 2020!

We are not accepting new applications for Lola while we go through the ones we have already received.

Lola is a very typical puppy! She is cute, sweet, highly social, active, and loves to play with other dogs. She also needs the work typical puppies need to turn into great dogs, like housebreaking and mouthing. Basic obedience would be great for her too!

She came to us after a freak accident left her with a broken leg and the previous owners couldn’t afford treatment. She was signed over to the vet’s office which called us about taking her. She had surgery to fix the leg and it is almost all healed at this point.

We are looking for a single family home for her. Another playful dog would be great, but she would be OK as an only dog as well. She would probably be too much for dogs that aren’t interested in playing or for senior dogs. Although she seems to be fine with kids, we will not place her in a home with kids 8 and under. Right now, she tends to want to be very active when she is out of her crate, although that may calm down once she is fully released from the activity restriction she is on to let the leg recover (we expect that will be around the week of Feb. 17th and we won’t actually place her until after then). Because she is still so young, she will need a household where someone is home more often than not.

Lola’s adoption fee is $400. Please note that we only adopt to the Washington, DC area and surrounding counties (no more than approx. 1 hour from DC).
