Hi, I'm Larry. I’m adopted!
Shih Tzu | Senior | Male | Small
About Me
Larry was adopted June 2020!
Are you looking for a couch potato to keep you company during your quarantine? Then look no further than Larry, a small (yet chubby) cream-colored Shih Tzu! This neutered grandpa may be a senior at 13.5 years old, but he still enjoys going for short walks and getting the zoomies when you come home from the grocery store or (especially) at dinner time. He has definitely packed on some extra weight and is quite round, weighing in at 18 pounds….and could benefit from a diet plan (although he may say otherwise).
Larry found himself in need of help in early April when his long-time beloved owner passed away. He was whisked away into a loving foster home where we learned that he is good with cats, and dogs of all sizes! He does tend to have some grumpy moments (who doesn’t!) and would do best in an experienced home with older children only (over 10 Years old preferred). He is mostly housebroken, but does have the occasional accident. He suffers from some mild separation anxiety and may get concerned and bark or cry if you are out of sight, although this seems to be easing with every passing day in his foster home. Last but not least, he has a chronic eye condition that requires drops twice a day which he will need for the rest of his life.
Larry has been through an unthinkable loss and you can tell he is still mourning his previous owner. If you would like to be the light that sparks his joy again, please fill out an application to adopt Larry today!
