About Me

Curly was adopted June 2020!

Greetings, my name is Curly (aka Curly Whurly). I love mornings and usually rise with the sun at which time I enjoy my morning walk. I am pretty brave and love checking out new smells and places. I’m so brave not even the street scares me (my foster mom has to remind me not to go in it). Speaking of being brave a few things do make me nervous, like when you put on shoes, and bags you are carrying while we walk. During the day I delight in laying around, getting up occasionally to get a drink of water or bark at a noise I’m not familiar with. I love companionship with people and even some dogs (there is strict vetting process, I am particular about my dog friends). When you leave me alone it makes me really sad; I will cry and howl, and sometimes hop and scratch at the door. So I am hoping to find a new family that is home more often than not. Being 9 years old, if I’ve had a particularly active day it can be hard for me to hop on even low furniture, so you might have to help me up sometimes. I am most cuddly first thing in the morning and when you get back from leaving me alone. As far as food goes, I’m not too particular. It takes me a while to warm up to new environments so don’t expect me to eat too much at first. As we get to know each other will start eating more. Like any dog, I definitely love soft food and treats more than dry food. I had a happy home at one time, but sadly, my prior mom passed away. Could you be the one to give me a new happy home?
