Hi, I'm Calvin. I’m adopted!

Thanks to everyone who put in inquiries and  applications for Calvin. Due to the high volume, we apologize that we were  unable to respond to everyone. At this time, he has been adopted.

We’ll  just say it from the start … it’s a lucky person who adopts Calvin!

Calvin just loves people, and he’ll charm you with his gentle, affectionate nature — he loves to make friends and be petted!

Calvin is extremely well crate trained and will happily amble into an open crate to nap. Calvin’s house training has been faultless from his arrival at his foster home.

Calvin’s easy to groom; his short, thick coat won’t matt but will benefit from a weekly brushing to contain shedding.

He’s not a high-activity or noisy dog for one so young, so a few hours of exercise each day will suffice, with some longer walks and even hikes weekly.

Calvin likes other dogs and has done well at his foster home with multiple dogs although he does love to have you all to himself. He can be playful with his favorite doggy pals but he’s also happy to play solo with toys. He loves a toy he can chew, nibble, and gnaw away at!

If Calvin does have a home with a yard, it’ll need to have a 6’ privacy-fence since he’ll jump shorter fences when something of interest takes his fancy.

Calvin loves mealtime and can gobble food down too quickly so water added to his chow helps slow him down.

Calvin knows knows most basic commands but tends to focus better with rewards. He also walks well on leash. Calvin learns quickly from gentle corrections since he’s a smart, sensitive pooch with a high desire to please you!
