Success Story: Emma

Success Story: Emma

My little Emma. I saw her online and my heart melted. I told myself that the last thing I needed was a dog. But for days I could not get her out of my thoughts and continually revisited the site. I finally filled in the application, thinking ?there is absolutely no way I will get this dog.? Well, I was contacted by her foster mom, interviewed and agreed to come and see Emma the following Saturday. People/families were standing in line to see her, obviously confirming my suspicions of not being chosen. But then ?my turn? came. She was placed in my arms and fate intervened. I was informed 3 days later that I was Emma?s new ?Mom?. From that day on, she has been my special joy, my reason for smiles and laughter. YES, she is spoiled rotten (ask her foster mom who receives constant e-mails regarding her antics and updated pictures!) and she gives the most unconditional love imaginable. And a very special thanks to her foster mom for providing a wonderful, loving environment. Because of her, Emma was, and is, the most socialized little critter going. She is immediate friends with every person and every animal she meets! The ?social butterfly? of our neighborhood and the happiest dog you could ever imagine. What was I thinking when I ?didn?t need a dog?? I simply cannot imagine my life without her!!!  Thank you PG SPCA/HS.
