I adopted Kirby from the PG SPCA/HS in early October 2004. I had wanted a dog for quite some time and after my youngest headed off to college, I thought this would be the perfect time to get a companion. I went numerous times to my local animal shelter but did not sucessfully find anyone that I felt would be a good fit for me. I thought it probably wasn't the right time and decided to just hold off on my search for a while. Then I was looking at the Petfinder site and noticed this adorable face and saw that he was going to be at an adoption show the following weekend. I decided to go and when I walked in and saw this bundle of energy I knew he was the one. No doubt about it, my search was over. After speaking with his foster mom, I immediately completed the application and within a few short days I had him in my home. Kirby has been the best thing that has come along in my life in a long time. He brings me so much joy and his little silly facial expressions are a riot! He loves his daily park trip where he runs and meets other doggy friends, and I can never forgot his favorite treat when I go shopping which is carrots. He has such a wonderful and fun personality. I'll admit I have spoiled him just like a kid, but he enjoys it and he's worth it. I look forward to many years with Kirby.
