Hi, I'm Cali
Domestic Short Hair | Young | Female | Medium
Cali has had a difficult life so far and is skittish at first, but is very loving as well. She loves to be petted but does not like to be picked up. She is thin but it is mostly because of her body type. She is a bit of a finicky eater and is not a big fan of wet food. She does a good job eating dry food though. Cali is playful and like to run around a lot. She has lots of energy and is very entertaining to watch.
Favorite Toy: She is most likely to play with a shoestring, but she also loves to play with a ball and feathers toy. She’ll toss it around and chase it all by herself sometimes.
Favorite Napping Spot: She will usually nap under the bed or someplace dark and cool.
HOW SHE CAME TO THE PGSPCA
Cali was brought to us by a homeowner who wanted to rescue her when she was a kitten but unfortunately, she had dogs and kept little Cali in a cage for most of her life. This is why she is so skittish and can’t be around other dogs. She needs lots of love and kindness.
We would love to see Cali with a family of adults or a single adult who are willing to be patient with her and take the time to let her find her way. She wants very much to be loved and petted. She will take some time to get to know her new home but once she does she will be a wonderful addition to the family.
