About Me
Ben and Jerry were adopted March 2015! They have been immensely popular online and at our adoption events. We received several dozen applications to adopt them. If your application was chosen, you will have heard from us. Whenever several people express interest in the same animal, we have to turn a lot of people down. Please know that we worked hard to select the best home for Ben & Jerry.
Ben and Jerry’s fosterer writes…
We’re calling them Ben & Jerry because this pair is pint-sized! But don’t let their size fool you. These cute pups are big on charm, love, and personality. They are 7 years old and very bonded to each other. As a result, we’d like to adopt them out as a pair.
Jerry is the more outgoing of the two. He has perky ears and a lighter coat, and he weighs about 8 pounds. He loves to trot around and will easily roll over for a belly rub.
Ben is much more shy, with foldover ears and a dark curly coat, weighing in at just under 6 pounds. He needs to put on a few pounds, which we’re working on. He’s little timid but loves to cuddle or snuggle in a soft dog bed.
It appears these guys were pet store puppies, purchased years ago from one of those pet stores that get their “stock” from puppy mills. They weren’t well-kept: caged too much and not well-trained, but they are catching up on everything! They play well together and enjoy the company of people too, especially when you pet or scratch them. They are crate-trained and don’t bark when left. They don’t chew inappropriately and they’re working on housetraining. Their biggest goal is a wonderful new home — could it be with you?

We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.
