Organizational History

For more than 45 years, our organization has been assisting the residents (human and animal) of Prince George’s County. While our programs have evolved over the years, our primary objective—to improve the lives of animals in our community—has remained the same. From our low-cost medical services, to cruelty investigation, to our adoption program, our commitment has withstood the test of time.

The two organizations officially merge. We officially became the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George’s County. To our volunteers and clients, we will always be known as “the PGSPCA”.
